Roger has extensive senior management experience in retailing, in both department stores and speciality retail chains. Over several years he researched global trends and new retail concepts to assess their potential for the Australian market and successfully introduced several new products in homewares, toys and sporting goods.
With his entrepreneurial flair, Roger encouraged major suppliers to the retail sector to redesign products, packaging and branding to have greater appeal to Australian consumers. He served on the Australian Industry Advisory Council for the electrical industry and was invited to Japan to advise major corporations on the Australian market.
Following his success in turning around an ailing national retail business, Roger developed a highly effective approach to improving business performance through a series of planned adjustments to key business metrics. He subsequently used this expertise to benefit many small to medium size businesses in a consulting capacity.
Roger provided commercial advice to the Victorian State Government in the development of Federation Square and conducted strategic retail reviews for the Cities of Maroondah, Ballarat, Dandenong, the City of Auckland (New Zealand) and many others. He received a national award from the Royal Australian Planning Institute for his work in Geelong.
Having joined LDN International as a strategic consultant in 2008, Roger has now taken responsibility for the finance and administration function of the business.
Roger holds a Diploma of Management from Ballarat University, has participated in executive leadership education at the University of New South Wales.
